    4K WOT Stumble

    With vboost open, the bike was running fine with the clip in the third groove plus a shim. With the vboost reactivated, I had to move the clip to the second groove from the blunt end.

    Thanks, I'll try that! Also, after installing the vboost assembly, I was able to sync the carbs. It looks like one of the cylinders needs more throttle to run at idle than the other three, making my engine run at three cylinders when they are synced, and on four when the one carb gets more...

    Hello! I've been running a stage 7 setup with vboost eliminated for some time. WOT just fine. I installed the vboost assembly recently, without making any other changes, and now have a bad stumble at 4K WOT. Should i drop or raise the needles?

    Hi! My 88 has had the vboost assembly removed. I have a 2002 assembly on hand, that i want to buy and install on my bike. Will it work? Does the 02 controller talk to the 88 ECU?

    Anyone used the UFO 1.5" caps OR how to reduce ear bleeding from the StreetPro?

    UFO make 2.5'' and 2'' baffle cores for the single megaphone can. I changed from 2.5'' to 2'' and i think it sounds alot better. It was like 20$.

    I picked my motor apart. Valve seats and valves did not look very pretty. After lapping the valves, the contact area between valves and valve seats measure about 1.2 - 1.4 mm wide. The manual specs a service limit of 1.4mm, and a desired seat width of 1mm. Do you think it's worth the...

    Flat spot at about 4500 rpm.

    If you run a stage 7 kit, insert the DJ190 PAJ2. Had the same problems, solved it for me..

    Suck and blow

    Got 150-150-180-200 on the compression test. Its not horribly low i guess, but the difference between the cylinders is like 25%.. I don't know how much difference one should accept before doing anything with it? Uneven idle, and does not really run properly under 3k, unless im going uphill =O...

    Yeah I'll do a compression test.. But air going in, instead of out?=| I don't know if that can happen without anything sucking the air back in.. Unless a non-firing cylinder pushing cold air instead of exhaust causes the same effect. I don't know..

    Yeah. It runs ok on everything over 3k. Under 3k there is a lot of misfiring on one of the cylinders. Guess the motor has to come out..-_-

    Needle setting/cruising

    So I've changed all the rubber. Installed DJ175 mains, and ran the needles at the fifth slot. Bike behaves the same. Did 120 miles before the fuel light came on. Then I changed the PAJ from a mikuni 170 to a DJ190. That did smooth things out a bit, and has made the most noticeable difference...
