    Phoenix dragstrip to be demolished

To be perfectly honest with you, the motorcycle industry (In General) hasn't been the same in the last decade. I can't even do a track day at Pacific Raceways (in the Seattle area) without all type of hoops and other crap to jump through. I haven't been to a drag strip in over 15 years. It...

    Bosch 3300 Alternative Oil filter

*Update* I drained out all the nasty oil and put in actevo. Swapped out the oil filter with a good K&N filter. The bike has been running just fine. The mechanic did a pretty decent job overall. He just rushed through a couple areas on my bike. I have completed a SS1100 & BB1500 since. So far so...

    Gen 1 in 2020

Okay, For "Power Cruisers" a Vmax or V65 Magna will do the trick! Downsides to a Gen1 vmax is the electrical system is extremely limited and dated. The V65 magna also has the "Cam Issue" which is the biggest reason why I sold mine 14 years ago. I also can't stand the fact that both bikes have...

Remove wheels/tires or take it to a shop?

Well I found I nice video on how to remove the rear tire: It looks just as easy as the gen1. Now I need to find a video on how to remove the front tire.

Remove wheels/tires or take it to a shop?

Yeah I have the manual already, and I've read through the procedures. See I'm the type of guy who get's every manual available in order to get a complete understanding of how to take apart something before I do it. I can recall on my V65 magna I had a Haynes, Clymer & Factory service manual for...

Remove wheels/tires or take it to a shop?

I know the motorcycle stand I have should take care of the back wheel. I'm not sure if I need to use the steering head stand on the front or of I could elevate it with just a fork stand. I'll have to see. I'm more concerned about taking the wheel off and messing something up in the process...

Remove wheels/tires or take it to a shop?

Hello, I don't do too much maintenance on my 2nd gen, but I used to do most of the maintenance on my first gen bikes (except for valve adjustments). I need to get new tires, and I've never taken tires off of the 2nd gen bike. I can recall the process is very easy on the first gen bike. It...

No it's not you, it's the stupid link in this post that is the problem: Longest lasting rear tire for gen 2?

Best tire life for gen 2

Oh this is for the first Gen bike. I've got a 2nd Gen bike. This thread is linked on the 2nd gen bike as well. I used to own a 88 & 85 vmax. The best "handling" tire was the Mac 50's. My only complaint is that they don't last as long as the ME880's. I think for the 2nd gen I'm going to...

Best tire life for gen 2

What type of mileage do you get out of Shinkos? How do they compare "mileage-wise" to a Metzler? They are clearly half price. Does that mean they only last half as long?
