I ride mine to work at a restaurant, some joker poured a little RICE under my bike and came in to tell me it WAS leaking something went out to check, oh yeah it always does that! Yuk yuk snort.

Just wondering if you let it run for awhile will it stall out, that would be your fuel pump not working right, mine did that when coming out of hibernation, was my reserve switch not being happy.

SO today I got after that over flowing carb, did not start out very well, first I started the bike to see if it still leaked, well NO it doesn't. Why not? OH it's because my fuel pump is not working, WHY? Gurrr. Well I have been running with the switch in RES since owning it, hot wired the pump...

What dannymax says, been there done that every spring needle is sticky, cleaned mine and good to go will be replacing this year.

Mine is a Kmart brand 3amp inherited from my dad in 82 still works great even though one day I got a lil pissed off and kicked the crap out of it lol!

Better than nothing has gotten me home more than once and helped out others with NO tools 👍

I change my oil yearly, ride moderately aggressive, 4000 miles per year don’t add any more oil, that’s my experience 81000 miles on bike.

Go for the fazer, rare machine love the look. After many years of riding my xt500 I bought a VMAX awesome machine scares me every time but it’s all good, let us know what happens!

Here’s mine was very noisy even in neutral but it was that way for 10000miles, Sean Morley hooked me up with a very nice replacement final drive

So what does drilling HALF INCH HOLES! Do? Noise? Rejetting carb required? Just curious about that.

Yee ha, Boris is gone or dead, speedometer works as it should, 95 today and all is good....except for the wind trying to tear me off the bike!

Thanks for the reply/ideas, yes Boris is alive.....for now, I know I went to 90 mph today but Speedo never got past 70....grrr!

So here's one for the group. My speedometer has been invaded by a black spider, seems to only like 75mph, that's where I see it which just happens to be at the 12 o'clock position....really. As a result my Speedo will not go past the 75 mph mark! Any ideas besides replacement of the speedometer...
