This is why everyone should invest in crash bars.

Thanks for the support all. I thought about trying to fix the handlebar but I wanted drag bars anyway so now this just gave me an excuse, and I found a cheap pair for on UFO's site (sorry Sean, your website didn't want to load the handlebar link). I definitely plan on fixing the Supertrapp...

This is why everyone should invest in crash bars.

Was riding to work today, accelerating away from a stop light and a car up ahead decided to abruptly pull over and stop on a road with no shoulder (I saw this after I got up) and the 2 cars behind him slammed on the brakes. Being that we were accelerating, and it's 45 degrees, and I panicked...

I would like to introduce everyone to Veronica :)

That's one of the reasons I bought it as well. I was looking for sure at 93' or newer but I liked some of the other changes they made in the early 00's as well. I dunno about the 03' having special power output, the damn thing is fast for sure but it's about what I expected lol

I would like to introduce everyone to Veronica :)

Thanks all! My current list of planned mods isn't anything crazy. I would definitely like to pick up a backrest for my better half, and a small flyscreen. After that, i'm thinking a nice fork brace, maybe frame braces and this winter I might get a set of headers to go with my supertrapps, and...

I would like to introduce everyone to Veronica :)

Hello all, i've been ghosting around on the forums for a while now as I shopped, and finally picked up a 2003 VMAX with 23k miles. Only mods that I know of are Supertrapp's, and crash bars. Here are some pics! The last one is the result of the first hard launch I tried to perform...I think I...

Looking for a shop to tune my bike (Northern CA)

I'm not sure about Cali but around here most Harley dealerships have dyno's in their shop and are pretty good with tuning. The one in my town tuned my buddies Hyosung for him and it wasn't too expensive. They are pretty good with carb tuning because they have those factory backed stage kits...

    Good backrest option

Thanks all!! These are all great responses. I've gotta say I can't wait to pick up my bike and join the community, this is a great forum. The one from cycle-istic looks like the way i'll go.

    Good backrest option

Thanks i'll try to do that. The one in your signature pic is pretty much exactly what i'm looking for, a bit taller than most I seem to find online.

    Good backrest option

Hey all, first post here! I'm trading in my GSXR-600 on an 03' V-Max within the next week at my local dealership, already made a deposit, so yay for that! Real reason i'm here, is also why i'm doing the trade in. Looking for something that's fast, but a bit more comfortable for the...

Shifting from neutral to 1st - jerking motion

To quote Clarkson, "It's not going fast that kills you. Suddenly becoming stationary does". Love it
