Have you thought of modifying your centerstand to work with the lowered bike? I would think that someone could chop an inch out of the center and re-weld...problem solved!
Dude, I put some drag bars on mine...I know what you mean. I found riser extenders on eBay that are machined for the Mighty Max. They give the bars an 1 1/4 rise up and rearward which solved the problem. It only cost about $50 bucks.
Before you go through all that grief and expense of getting your carbs syncd, try a half bottle of a good fuel additive along with a fresh fill up of premium. Mine was running a little rough first time out after a long winter storage and this suggestion worked for me...I hope it does for you too!
According to other posts I have read on the internet outside of VMAX forum, regular car oil contains anti-friction additives. Our VMAX's have a wet clutch system using the motor oil for lube. Anti-friction additives are not good for the clutch...so I am told. I just use Yamalube full...
