02GF74 - Norton in 1975 & all bikes (I think) standardized to the left foot shifter & it was the first year/last for electric start!

Thank you for your service and happy retirement on that VMAX! Back in my NAU days I would ride thru Sedona to Jerome and end up past Prescott overlooking that desert. Then I'd turn around!! Happy Riding!!

"Get em while you can". I totally agree. Things like impeller shafts, water pumps and clutch reservoir are near impossible to find new in Yamaha packaging. I'm all for rebuilding them but sometimes it's nice to have a new one when you get the drip of death. And my local Honda/Suzuki dealer...

I used to run my 86 VMAX there on Saturday nights back in 88-89 and it was myself against my nemesis- a Honda hurricane 1000. Fun times.

My 06 FJR had a flat spot in the throttle as you take off - a hesitation. A new throttle tube fixes 75% of the issue and adding an EFI tuner to increase fuel took care of the rest. No other issues exist. All early FJRs have this issue.
