Parts For Sale SOKLD Supertrapp gen 1 slip-ons

I have a used set of Supertrapp slip-ons that I recently bought from Sean Morley. These were covered in some sort of burnt plastic, I spent probably 6 hours cleaning them, they look infinitely better than when I got them. If he sees this, he can attest. I am only looking to get the $300 I...

What grips will work on 1st Gen?

I just put a set of Kuryakyn on mine, I have a gap on the throttle side between the grip and controls but think I must have not installed them right.

    Factory exhaust removal tips?

Getting ready to remove the rear factory megaphone mufflers. Any tips for getting them off and not damaging them? I see the 2 clamps on each side as well as the main bolts supporting the rear. Are there any other bolts I'm not seeing? Does it all come off in 1 piece? Do I need a second...

My old Vmax is up for sale

As someone who just exited the buying market, it doesn't seem bad to me. As someone else already mentioned, between inflation and the fact the gen 1's haven't even been built for nearly 20 years, they're getting tougher to find. Especially one you know the history of. If you're truly in the...

Sean, you wouldn't have a set of Supertrapp slip-ons laying around would ya?

Yet another Kuryakyn ISO grip install question(s)

Thanks, I'll probably try the electrical tape and see if I can't get it snug. The throttle side feels like it's going to be pretty snug out of the gate. I too hesitate on the throttle tube. Might try the hairspray method on it and see how it holds. Did you need to the included spacer at all...

Yet another Kuryakyn ISO grip install question(s)

As much as I hate being the first to respond to my own post, I got the old grips off using the compressed air method. Wow, came right off although the throttle side put up a small fight. The clutch side Kury grip just slides loosely on, I'm not sure just glue would even be sufficient. I...

Hello everyone. Another new guy from Missouri here.

He's in the state just west of you.

Yet another Kuryakyn ISO grip install question(s)

Bought a NOS set of 6241's. The included glue is long dried out. Trying to decide if I buy new glue. I see hairspray is often used as the initial lube and after dry, glue, to hold these on. From searching, there are numerous other things used including regular old super glue. I'd like them...

    Gen 1 V-Max exhaust, a modern thread.

Thanks, I plan to engage Sean once I'm a little more homed in on what I'm going to do so I don't waste a bunch of his time. How'd he work on yours being in NJ and him in Wichita?

    Gen 1 V-Max exhaust, a modern thread.

Well, that's easy enough. Is stage 7 or equivalent a must with the StreetPro?

    Gen 1 V-Max exhaust, a modern thread.

Now I'm considering going with the SRP StreetPro (4>2) system (formerly UFO). I absolutely love the sound of it, was a little hesitant about it being too loud but now I'm thinking screw it. I have a drop in K&N already, would a simple rejet be the only other thing I'd have to do? Do you HAVE...

What is this weird A** sound?

Ok, great. The fuel pump was my hope but wasn't sure it should sound like that. I've watched countless videos on the vmax lately and haven't seen any that had that sound in the video. Maybe their bikes were already warm/primed.? I'm definitely familiar with the vboost sound although this...
