Gen2 is very different than other bikes i have/had. Gen2 like fast shifting, almost like shifting without using clutch. Higher revs = smoother shifts. If you always need 3-4 tries, then i think there is something wrong.
Here you can read some useful info too Throttle body master sync screw . Until i not touched front left "master" cyl air screw, i was not able to sync all 4 cyls and i was little over allowed range with front left cyl. All 4 screws on my Vmax were untouched and all were set from factory to 1/8...
Based on your recommendations, today i adjusted front left "master" cylinder. I think no one before touched these screws and all were in same positions about 1/8 turn before fully turned in. Now sync looks much better (~ 290mb). I do not noticed difference in idle, but it seems that transition...
There was a recall for tps/aps harness. It is easy to check if it was done/modified. Regardless carb screws ... my 2009 is same. Front left cyl noticeable difference in comparison with other cyls and screw needs to be turned out, but it is master, so i am not touching it. Other 3 cyls screws...
