Carb Sync Tool Atlanta area to rent or borrow?

Hey Steve, If you are talking the VMAX, yes, planning on selling it after I get them sync'd and running good. I have been thinking about just buying a sync tool and then when I'm done sell the tool but figured I'd check and see if anybody had one to borrow/rent first. Ted

Carb Sync Tool Atlanta area to rent or borrow?

Anybody got a good carb sync tool in the Atlanta area I could rent or borrow? I just need to get them sync'd up and after that don't need it anymore. I really want to find one that can do all 4 at once for they are really out of adjustment and I tried the two bottle method but just tough to...

    Oil Filter Bolt Torque...

I should have done that but once I got to drilling it out part way I had to go all the way type thing. Replaced the bolt and all is good now. Actually, once I get the carbs back together and the gas tank replaced (rusted tank caused me to do a total carb breakdown) I'll be making it run good...

    Oil Filter Bolt Torque...

I was talking about the case cover bolts... but on oil filters (spin on kind) I just follow the directions. But with the bolt design on the older Vmax's and it being so tight and somewhat stripped head where I had to drill it out I wanted to make sure the new bolt got torqued to the correct...

    Oil Filter Bolt Torque...

LOL - The problem is my Dad use to be a Diesel Mechanic and learning from him gooden tight is sometimes wayy too tight! :-) I normally can just do it by feel but I've had enough things surprise me on smaller engines so since I have torque wrenches I might as well use them I figure.

    Oil Filter Bolt Torque...

Yup, I noticed that, thank you for pointing it out though. I know those little bolts couldn't take it in foot pounds of torque! Even at 89 inch pounds it was getting pretty tight. There is a wire hanging down under that cover area and I wonder if it was a ground that I was suppose to...

    Oil Filter Bolt Torque...

Hey maleko89, how about the oil plug with a new crush sleeve on it? Trying to find the torque on it but can't seem to find it. The bolts on the side of the engine down by your feet that you take off to get access to the clutch slave cylinder, you don't by chance have the torque for that as...

    Oil Filter Bolt Torque...

Working on a '94 VMAX and putting the oil filter back on. What is the oil filter bolt torque spec? I tried searching around for it but wasn't able to find it. Also, how do you know if you have the right amount of oil? Have the bike level and look at the window I assume... but how high on...

    You guys Rock!

Eventually here I want to check out the 'Tail of the Dragon' and I still have yet to check out Panama City and Cheetah III, not aware of that last one! ha ha Thanks for the welcome. For now I'm just waiting for parts to get in. Boy, after all this work I'm going to get pretty good at this...

'85 - '92 vs '93-'95 Oil Filter Bolt, any difference?

Thank you for the tip about the washer and the spring... I have all the parts sitting in the oil drain pan right now so it should all be there. I'll maybe take a photo and post it up in this thread later to make sure I have all of the pieces needed. If you don't mind letting me know if there...

'85 - '92 vs '93-'95 Oil Filter Bolt, any difference?

Gotcha, I will compare the holes. But if it will work on a '92 VMAX will it work on a '94 as well? Like was there changes that occurred?
