Can VStar wheels bolt up to the VMax?

So I'm looking for a wire wheel for my first Gen and can't seem to find one that fits. How hard is it to make an adapter for a wheel and what wheel should I use? I've seen people mention Harley wheels.

I apologize if this sounds dumb but has there been anyone that has attempted to make a sportier subframe for a gen 1 max? Im getting the materials to build one but im wondering what people did with the gas tank.

Anyone know where to get a Gen 2 gas tank? Trying to fab up a custom tail for a Gen 1 and the tank is a little wide for the look I'm trying to achieve.

I've come to the realization that this is too much bike for me. Especially for my first bike. So I have a 2002 VMAX 1200 with just under 7500 miles. It's has a kerker exhaust, jet kit, the k&n air filter setup, a Corbin seat, and I recently added UFO drag bars but I still have the original bars...

Ok putting my flame suit on for this one. How low can I lower my gen 1 VMax before running into issues with the shaft angle? Has anyone ever had an abnormally low Vmax?
