Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

I think it's coming from both of those places you are talking about,if I give the bike a good rev I can see the actual exhaust leaking out. It seems start at the very bottom of the system and the exhaust leak flowing up right pipe that connects to the right rear cylinder.

    Projects back on track

I am in absolute love with your bike. I've always wanted to do something similar. I could handle putting on some gsxr or r1 forks on. But I don't think I have the fab skills to pull off that beautiful back end. I'm definitely jealous of that bike.

Also need mirrors, no big deal I should have a spare. At the time I was just running one small mirror/bar end combo on the left side. And need fork seals, the left seal was barely leaking before the crash, no it's pretty bad. Maybe I can get some stiffer springs at the same time.

Shot from underneath where most of the exhaust leak is coming from.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

The exhaust leak is coming from somewhere beneath this.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

Dent in muffler, which started the exhaust leaks.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

Bent break pedal jammed putter clutch case. I don't think it broke all the way through, just broke the outer insert, I hope.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

So how do I post pics? All I see is an option to post an URL to your pic..is their a way to upload directly to this site? I maintain zero social media presence nor have I ever joined a site that host pics.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

It was definitely bogging down, once it gear it wouldn't run past 25krpm. In neutral it wouldn't idle, but would rev up fine. That Tuesday. Today it idled and revved up perfectly, and continued to do so while I sat in the garage and shifted into first and second.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

Very confused again... On Sunday I got the bike out from winter storage and it fired right up, revved up good, and I let it idle for a good 20 minutes, engine wise everything seemed good except for the obvious exhaust leaks coming from the pipes underneath that lead into the tail pipes. On...

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

I haven't looked at jet kit in awhile. I swear it was a KN stage 3. Maybe it was never installed because it wasn't the right one for the bike. Thanks for saving me a headache.

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

The bike came with a stage 3 jet kit, I've always wanted to put it on, but carbs kind of scare me, heh. But i suppose this would be the best time. I'm pretty sure it is the insert that is cracked, I just rebuilt the clutch last summer. And luckily, the original owner gave me a brand new...

Vmax crash, need help getting her running again

Wow, all of you guys are amazing. Luckily I already have a set of straight bars. But thank you. To clarify a bit more about possible carb issues, it starts up and runs find if I just keep my hand on the throttle giving a slight bit of gas and it would rev up fine sounding normal. However, when...
