im a welder by trade and also ride a max the ally should weld ok but to be honest i would leave it alone i would always be waiting for it to drop off and leave me stranded.

ive fitted oxford grips to my max, i wired a relay switch behind the head light. so they switch off with the ignition. i am told they need to see 13volts from the charging system before they can be swithced on.
