    Hello All, from TheDigiSync.com

You want the 4-channel model with 5/32" hoses. You don't need any other adapters. These hoses attach directly to the pressure ports just behind the chrome "Y" shaped carburetor covers. You'll also get four replacement vacuum caps just in case your old ones are dried out and cracked. Bon

    New VMF Vendor!!

I do remember meeting you. Was it in Arkansas or in Missouri for a Fall color ride?

    New VMF Vendor!!

Great to be a vendor here! A few snaps of my rides. My 1986 Carbon wrapped Stocker. On loan to my son-in-law after his bike was stolen. 1965 Honda 305 Dream. First electric start bike. 1999 Valkykrie Interstate Supercharged '00 Valkyrie. Only one carburetor . I have a video of this one...

    Hello All, from TheDigiSync.com

Thanks for the warm welcome! It's going to be fun around here when folks begin using the Digi Sync. Especially by those that have synched using traditional tools. I still remember the smile that it put on my face the first time I used it. I immediately sold my Morgan Carbtune on eBay to recover...

    Hello All, from TheDigiSync.com

I'm a new vendor to this forum but have lurked around here as Bon-86 for years. I'm an '86 Gen1 V-Max owner as well as a Valkyrie nut. I'll mostly let my web site speak for itself and introduce The Digi Sync digital peaking manometer. But for those that would rather simply read on -well- read...

    COPs and Tboost?

FWIW I'm going to take a swag at the tboost issue and say that it may be that the cops, due to their lower resistance, are drawing a lot more current than the oem coils and therefore the lowest voltage that is developed at the TCI box is higher due to the internal resistance of the switching...

    coil conversion harness

Gannon!! I received my harnesses today. They look great! Very, very nice. I'm very excited about putting these on and I'll do it this weekend. Thanks! More soon . . .

pics from great depression - in color!

Many didn't throw away the urine; rather they sold it to the tannery. If you had to do this you were "piss poor".

    COP's Harness pics

I suppose Przemek and I will see the solution differently as I suspect we come from different backgrounds. I'm pretty conservative when it comes to these issues and would rather err on the side of safety. Przemek's experience seems to tell him it's okay to go without a resistor and my analysis...

    COP's Harness pics

No offense taken. I don't have any facts about the old transistors but apparently you do. If they are 16 amp amp max transistors, fine. They do need to be derated somewhat for temperature though as they live next to a hot engine and do get a pretty good heat soak. I did see somewhat lower...

    COP's Harness pics

The "new" here are facts instead of hunches and guesses mixed in with antidotal experiences. Stock TCI with 1.5 ohm Denso's without resistor can draw 9+ amps. Not so good for 8 amp transistors. And a good design doesn't work components to their maximum limit. Rather the working design maximum...

    COP's Harness pics

Well, I've been busy. I've been experimenting with Denso cops and resistors between 1 ohm and 6 ohms. I've been using a Fluke temperature meter with bare wire thermocouples to watch the temperatures of the COPS and resistor. I changed my approach a bit and began to monitor the current that is...

    !!!!Need Some Serious Help!!!!

You'd have to transfer the ignition pickup as well. I'd start first with the pickup to work through any mounting issues that exist. I don't know anyone who's done this but most likely it has been.

    !!!!Need Some Serious Help!!!!

Yea, I've had one TCI box fail for no good reason several years ago on my '85.

    !!!!Need Some Serious Help!!!!

Are you using cops? If so what is your resistor value? Do you know why your TCI ignitor bit it?

Great stuff, quiet interesting. Good Post!

    COP's Harness pics

The large discrete coil of the OEM coil needs longer to charge. A COP is much smaller and needs less time/energy to charge. I understand its a transformer but I just use the traditional language and call it a coil. The limit resistor is just a loss but since we can't change the 8ms in the OEM...
