You can run the Metz 880 at high speed for a long time , the speed ratings for tires are set too such a high standard that whether it is V rated or H rated are not going to affect you on the street . Compound of the tire is what you need too know , if you want a tire for just doing burnouts...

Some one had a set of Kawaski ZRX 1100 rear shocks on a V-Max but I cannot remember where I saw it. Maybe check into them as they are adjustable and you should be able to find a set for a descent price .

A couple of yrs. ago at Thunder someone replaced his V-gas cables and he ended up taking the throttle apart then after connecting to the carbs ran everything up to the throttle and re assembled it that way , for some reason he said it was easier that way. Other then that I don't have a clue.
