    Carbs Won's Seat Fully

My 2¢, I used to have a hell of a time getting the carbs to seat. If your carb rack is tweaked you will have a gap between the boots and carb and possibly damage the carb bodies by pounding on them (did that). I always place the carbs on a level surface and adjust the carb rack by...

    Fuel pump housing

Dave, thanks again for the pump. I will be sending you a thank you package when I get back from a business trip. Glad that people like you still exist in this world.

    Fuel pump housing

Looking for the plastic housing (black plastic part) that attaches to the pump motor. If you have a broken fuel pump that doesn't have any cracks email me with a price. Thanks

    Carb bodies #1 and #2

Thanks, I drilled my frozen pilot screws out and butchered the threads that hold the pilot screw. I'm waiting to see if I win a auto auction for a 2005 vmax theft bike here in Hawaii. What's wrong with the carbs and how much? Just in case I don?t win the auction. Appreciate your offer.

    Carb bodies #1 and #2

Looking for carb bodies #1 and #2. I over drilled the pilot screw hole trying to remove a frozen pilot screw. :bang head::bang head::bang head:

    COP Mod gsxr 06. 700

Hey guys, anybody using 06 gsxr 600 COP? I bought a set from fleabay and have a couple questions someone here might have the answer to. I get a primary resistance of 3.7-3.9. The secondary resistance is 13.8-13.9k (cold). The resistance goes up when the bike gets hot 14.9-18.3. I also get a...

    Help!!! Carb Sync after rebuild

You can check your butterfly valve on your carbs. Fully closed with the idle speed screw set all the way out. Also the vboost butterfly valve setting. I have the same set of vacuum gauges. I always set all four to carb #2. They tend to vary even if they are set to zero. One way to check is to...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Your right about my tank, been fighting with fine rust particles for awhile now. Guess I need to bite the bullet and yank the tank and seal it once and for all. I am leaning towards getting a rr and coil set from a r1 or r6. My old rr was purchased from a dealership 3 years ago and cost me a...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

I found the last piece of the puzzle that was causing my excessive fuel consumption. Long story short, my coasting enrichner plungers on #1 and #2 carbs were not closing all the way. I put my finger on the hole on top of the carbs and even with the choke lever fully closed I could feel the...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Appreciate any info that comes my way. I think I was able to double tap the monkey. Spent a hour doing the shotgun proceedure, figured compressed air was cheaper than a mechanic at the stealership. Rechecked every plug connection and ground wire. Yanked the fuel pump and gave it a good cleaning...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Not sure how to check the "coil ground". Could you explain. :confused2:

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

I took the readings from the plug wire to the coil connecter 13.7 k ohms on #1. Stripped carbs and used a piece of guitar wire (high e) and was able to get a little bit further down the passage that leads to the A/F screw. Put the carbs back on and low and behold..... same shitty idle. Sorry...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

I'll post another video tomorrow after the carb clean and with the rear coils disconnected. Coil #1 makes little difference to the way the bike idles. Don't want to piss off my neighbors running my bike this time of night. Thanks for staying with me in my pursuit of snuffing out this monkey...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Spark plugs are new, wires and caps swapped out. Secondary coil test on coil #3 tested 30.9 instead of the spec 13.7 ohms. Swapped out the rear coils but it made no difference. Its strange how the rear cylinders seem to fire with half the power compared to the front.

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Thanks Naughty G, carbs tore apart repeatedly. Gas clean and inspected thru a aftermarket glass fuel filter. Here is 1 thing I need to note- I ran my bike with the pilot screws seated all the way in for a month. PO stripped the heads and the screws were ceased. The PO also seemed to think that...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Can someone who has had this problem tell me how you resolved it. Covering the rear carbs make no difference in the idle of my bike. Covering #2 or #4 makes the engine stumble. I get gas on my hand and I can feel a slight vaccum but not as strong as the front carbs. Could not find a vaccum...

Rear cylinders not firing at idle

Another beautiful beach day spent in the garage with Mr.Max. Reset the float levels on all 4 carbs to. 16mm wet and rechecked the level with the bike running. Right on the nats nuts. My bike sounds like a harley at idle (and yes I am complaining not bragging) what was once a rabid rottwieler is...
