Default GI Combat comic

Anybody read these as a kid? Inlost my collection inhad when I gave them to a my son's half brother. So I ebay ed a bunch back and recently went to a comicon and found some more. Since I lost my originals some 20 years ago and ebay'ed back some about 15 years ago. I read a small stack I just got and in brought me right back to being a kid and remembering how much I looked forward to going grocery shopping with my mom as a kid. If I was goof I got a comic. 90% of them were GI Combat, Sgt Rock and the Howling Ommandos etc.

Anyone else read that stuff?

I still have some Sgt Rock stuff around here though it's been many years since I read them.

"Gabriel blow your horn, time to head into battle!"

And was it Percy who carried his bumbershoot during firefights, like any 'proper' English gentleman would?

My time reading those was more-like 50+ years ago.
