You could always try Boeshield T-9, sprays on like wd-40 and then dries to a wax like product. I've used this as a mountain bike chain lubricant because it doesn't fling off once dry and does not attract dust and dirt. I use it on Redbone for my throttle, speedometer cables and even wiring.

Found my stock speedo cable & inserted the inner cable into the SS braided outer cable. The stock cable is to long about 1 1/4" for the SS cable, I forgot I had it made shorter when I lowered the front end. I'm just gonna have Sean make me a new SS braided cable in the stock size, that way if it ever breaks again I can just order OEM inner cable. So in the mean time I'll just use my original.

Finally got around to it, installed SS braided speedo cable in the stock length
