Does anyone know where I can find highway pegs for my 2009. I am willing to pay for fabrication as well.

I believe Rick still has a few sets of "Max Relaxers"
Not sure of the best way to contact him. I'd try a PM here or one of these:

or call Rick: 413-SIX SIX EIGHT-6194

Rick may have his set but there is another person selling a different version (and a bit cleaner looking in my opinion) as well. I should be able to find him (on Facebook). Email me and i'll see if I can help.

His look better , BUT in my opinion can’t give the same level of comfort BECAUSE all they do is let you move your feet forward, mine however cause your hips to move ( pelvic tilt) which is what actually gives the extra comfort , it’s why cruiser motorcycles are more comfortable.
So wether your looking for looks or comfort there are two options.

I don't remember if yours were ever crash tested by accident but thought someone may have and found they also provided some engine protection?

They have been tested, they DO NOT OFFER ENGINE PROTECTION, they break away as NOT to damage engine

I too am in the market for some highway pegs. 2009 and I am 5-10 and would love to stretch out a bit and not get that hip cramps at times. Any current ones still for sale out there?

Highway Pegs and engine sliders.
First purchase a set of Sato Sliders for a Gen 2 Vmax.
Next get a set of rear footpegs from a Gen 1 Vmax.
Then make a 6mm thick aluminium bracket.

Hi 59SKI
I made my own highway pegs as I was not happy with the looks and or quality of the other highway pegs available. For my pegs you need to purchase a set of SATO engine sliders $200 US and a set of Gen 1 folding passenger footpegs $160 US approx and then make the aluminium bracket.
Regards ARTY

eBay has some, not too expensive either. Also, with the EBay route, you don’t need to go out and buy a $50,000 CNC machine.
Really? Make your own bracket? ROTFL. Who the **** has time for that?

Dan all I use is a hacksaw and a file and some ability and a little time to make my brackets but yes not everybody has that.

I had a set of YOSHIMURA crash sliders on my trackbike and crashed. The sliders shattered to peices instead of slowly grinding away and protecting the bike. I bought the YOSHIMURA sliders assumming they would be selling a quality product.

Yeah, I can see it. Just making a joke, the ones I found on Eboy I think are only $220 and are ready to bolt on, with pegs. Not a bad option.

I never tried to sell my highway pegs although I have been asked if I would make more. The problem is the price. By the time you buy the components there are others available. I have been happy to give details when asked to those who were thinking of making the bracket themselves. I have been contacted about one other VMAX highway peg available that the purchaser was very unhappy about the quality.
