There aren't any Hotels down that way within walking distance of the Bars.
The Bars he was talking about are Mickey Rats and Captain Kidds:
http://www.mickeyrats.com/
The Angola Motel is the only one close (about 1 1/2 Miles from the Bars at Angola on the Lake) and you'd have to drive to the Bars, which I would NOT recommend if you'll be drinking.
The Beach Front Bars are pretty closely watched for DUI's in the Summer and there tend to be DUI Road Blocks pretty regularly.
Angola Motel:
http://www.angolamotel.com/index.html
I would hate to see someone get arrested.
Most People Rent Cottages/Houses for the Summer down there.
But if you want I can certainly look into that Motel.
And here are Captain Kidds Banquet Prices:
http://www.mickeyrats.com/Banquet_Info.html

The Motels I was looking at have a Bar/Restuarant within Walking Disatnce or attached to the Hotel so no one has to drive after they have a few beers.
Like Hide Away's (Connected to the Quality Inn and within 1/4 mile of about 4 other Hotels):
http://hideawayslounge.com/Home.html
And
The WareHouse (Next door to an Econo Lodge):

Sounds good to me! You have stuff welll in hand for sure!!! He thought the hotel was within "stumbling distance" of the bars, but if it is that far away I agree the temptation to ride there would be too risky. Let me know what you find out about the other places and we will go from there!

Just looking at the Mickey Ratt's website and they need to be better-identified, their website is terrible, they need to spend less time posting pics of inebriated sots and happy restaurant patrons and more time on telling people where they are. I couldn't find their location w/o looking it up under mapquest. Where is their address on the website? I looked at every page of their website and it isn't there. Most places will have an info page and a map, but I didn't find one on the Mickey Ratt's site. Also, they use some pale blue font color on a white background which is really difficult to read. Whoever they have for their site designer should go back to school and learn some basics of marketing. FYI: 8934 Lake Shore Rd, Angola, NY 14006

That must be a popular name for a watering hole. There was a bar/restaurant of the same name on the Intracoastal Waterway in Dania Beach FL (Ft. Lauderdale area) next to the Atlantic Ocean, State Road A1A, and Dania Beach Blvd. in the 1970's/80's. Here's a clip of an interesting event which took-place there.

I'm not-too far from there, and recall when this occurred.

My wife and I have been talking about a trip to western NY in the summer, I dunno if the trip would include the Ice Breaker, but it sounds like fun. I would vouch for western NY and the Finger Lakes having a lot of great roads for biking. Letchworth State Park is impressive, and it's an area where you can get in lots of fun roads.

They are giving us $2 Bottled Beer and Well Drinks and 20% off all Menu Items for Friday and Saturday for all VMOA Ride Members.
We'll be in a Semi Private room for Dinner on Saturday which is adjacent to the Bar/Dining Area.

Also a Band will be playing after Dinnner.

You can download the Dinner Menu Here:

And we can take a ride out along the Lake Front Friday Evening if anyone is interested.

I'm was more than happy to do what I could.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting even more VMax Addicts.
I'm glad to hear you're coming down for this.
I'm sure we'll have a Great time.

If anyone is coming early on Friday make sure to post an approximate time here and I'll try to be there to Greet them.

PS
Thanks for the Tip,
I think we'll just need to handcuff Jim (strictly for his own safety of course) if he tries that again. :D

Schapps?? Did someone say Schnapps??? LOL!!!! Line 'em up!! You guys do know that the Saturday is my birthday right??? Drinks are on you guys LOL! Dennis, I can't thank you enough for your valuable assistance putting this together. It is always important to get local help putting on rides like this. Owe you a beer or two for that!!!! See you in June.:punk:

PS: Will be there Friday evening with Trevor and Veebooster.

I need some opinions for our Lunch Stop in Canandaigua.
altsweet is planning on meeting us in Canandaigua for Lunch and he is familiar with that area.
He listed these choices for us:
Peppers deli & pasta is great and very affordable.
It is a sit down specializing in wraps and other unique sandwiches.
There are two very good Mexican restaurants , Pontillos pizza, and every Fast food chain.
Personally I'm leaning towards Mexican, but I can eat anywhere.
