Yes, dark amethyst....I never saw one this color in person, very pretty! It's also taken me quite a while to learn the damn spelling of the name!

When I first laid my eyes on the vmax back in 85 the shop we were at only had the scarlet ( faster one lol) We actually drove to another shop little further away and they had the amethyst bike . I asked them if they could match or beat the other shops price and fucker turned and walked away so I wrote a check for a deep scarlet (red one ) been hooked since :biglaugh:

so mine is deep scarlet? for some reason i had the 85 colors backwards. probably because i had no idea what amethyst was .lol

Yeah i was stunned to find it in the corner of my bros garage! Had to have it. So it's one of the last very few first that are still running as far as I can tell from this site! (I'm sure the rear are out there) but it's awesome to own something that's "rare".
