Doesn't matter what we think.
It's your bike, so if you like it, that's all that matters.
The only thing I would have done different is I would have used plasti dip so it could be peeled off if you got tired of it.

I wanted to do the same thing but with gold. How yamaha did the midnight specials. Think it would look killer on a vmax

I had a paint stick. Kinda like a Magic Marker. Over the last 32 years, the motors been painted a few times. Everything from rattle can to brush touch ups to Plastidip. Before repainting the first time, most of the original paint had fallen off the heads. Nowadays they call it "Patina". To me it was just ugly. If I live long enough to ever need to get into the motor, I will properly repaint it gloss black while its apart. So far, I don't see that happening any time soon. Fortunately..
