Robert M Pirsig died, he of the popular book, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

I read this book when it first was published, and once since then. Godspeed, Mr. Pirsig, on the roads you now travel.

RIP. I have a copy of that book. I'm sure he would have loved the red Beemer. It raised my pulse a bit just looking at the photo..
 
And the follow up book-good one here too guys-this one actually makes you feel like you are going down the road on a bike as you are reading it. And signed!!

You know you're on top of things when you beat "Neesfeed" to the internet post of a noted member of motorcyling's fraternity having died.

I may have to dig out my copy & re-read it.
