I came across this picture of a Vmax that is probably done in Japan. There was a link to www.kid-cf.com that has a similar Vmax on its website.

Does anyone know more about this amazing conversion, and whether it is a one-off? The fender/saddle is awesome!

A 'tavern to tavern' seat, not meant for all-day use. Good rear lines though. I think it may have required some metal/parts removal & relocation to get that profile

FWIW..........

That pic didn't come up earlier for me. I was commenting on the pipes on the bike from the link..............

Seat looks like from a sportster.

Not sure, i thought it was a cut down seat based on the standard seat frame. But what about that fender? Is that made from scratch or is it an existing part made to fit the V-max?

The tank reminds me of a Triumph Hurricane, and the tank/seat/fender of the Tracy Designs 1-piece for the SOHC Honda 750. Remember those?

Here's a website which has info from one of the Tracy Designs stylists, very cool photos, be sure to check 'em out. http://honda-cb750-s.456789.n3.nabble.com/tracy-body-kit-td1003012.html

I always liked the lines of that. My friend who just retired from GM Design a year-ago made one himself back-then, but he didn't have a bike for it, he just did it as an exercise. It was also for the SOHC Honda 750.

Another Tracy Designs style: http://s595.photobucket.com/user/mi...3 CB750 Blackie/IMG_2259_zps44709ee6.jpg.html

Yep it kind of reminds me of the tracy stuff. WE have an old Honda 750 with an 836 kit in it & Tracy body that thing was the shit back in the day.

Must be a one-off then. I've not seen a conversion that curves so much around the rear wheel. I love the look of it, but its rare obviously.

Maybe a winter project some day...

I'm kicking this one, if I may. Still looking for more details on this. Thanks!

Its made by Kid Custom Factory in Japan. Ive already contacted them and they wont sell anything, they will only build it in their shop. That is the knight armor build, they also have a bat armor build and a few other first gen vmax builds. I think you can buy the exhaust as of now along with the bars and headlight. The frame was chopped and slightly modded and the dummy tank was extended down to the seat.

Thanks, yes this seems to be it. I love this look, and the modding isn't even that extreme. I would buy the tank-saddle-fender assembly if it were for sale...

They've built 2 more since this build and I've had my parts guy call him 2 or 3 times now and he won't sell anything. That's the reason I'm going the rout I'm going now.

Unless you own a Harley. He sells modified Harley gas tanks for about 8-10,000 lol.
