Doing a Colorado trip next month with a friend and wondered what to expect at 9000 to 10000 ft. in terms of how bad it might run. It has a Marks Performance full exhaust and a Sean Morley jet kit,( not sure what #jets) and runs great in Kansas City.
Thanks
Jack

Should run just fine unless you are planning on doing some drag racing and want to get every possible hp then it won't matter.

Thanks Sean.
No drag racing. A couple of friends painted a pretty grim image of a carburated bike barely able to make it in the mountains.

You might notice a little drop in power.
My wive and son were at Laconia last month and the went up MT Washington.
I asked if the "felt" the elevation.
They said a little bit.
Wifes bike 15' Scout and the lads is a 06' CB 919.
Both FI.
I know drag racing they say it's about 25% from sea level.
At least that's what I've read on some of the forums I'm on with my Nova.

Sounds like I'll be okay.
Any personal experience with the Vmax in the mountains.

If it runs well at home it will do alright anywhere else. I live at 3300-ish feet and ride well up past that. Other than maybe a small bit of power it's hard to feel anything. CV carbs seem to take the elevation changes fairly well.

We will probably be crossing the Cont. Divide at a couple of points and I didn't want to end up staying there indefinitely.
Thanks
