Although my Vmax runs great, I have noticed that when starting from cold, the rear right cylinder has a slight 'misfire'. After idling for a minute it disappears as soon as it starts to warm up. I have also noticed that when the bike starts to get low on fuel it also starts to miss on the same cylinder. This disappears as soon as I top up the fuel. I was just wondering what might be causing this? Might it just require a small adjustment to the air/fuel mixture on this cylinder? If so, should I open it or close it a little?

Pulling the plug after it has been missing should indicate if it is lean or rich.

It could also be float height.....or valve clearance.....HT system.....

These types of conditions can be a right swine to find.

IMHO if the bike runs fine when hot then I wouldn't waste too much time chasing this issue.

Mine has a miss when cold and is fine hot. Im not chasing that issue.

Time spent as a car mechanic showed me you will spend forever dicking around with it as its not cold for long enough to do adjustments. So its not an issue for long at all - and therefore who cares.

Up to you if you chase it.
