Looks like more manufacturers are styling air horns or inlets into their bikes. Saw this on MC Daily--new Moto Guzzi.

Makes our Maxes more and more like a style leader. Since 1985!

I think Chris that those are probably scoops intended for ram induction. Scoops seem to be catching on lately. Ram air isn't that big of a deal, but then every little bit helps.

I think those scoops are for cooling air. The Moto Guzzi lump is still an air-cooled motor. The bike looks interesting, sort of a Guzzi "Multistrata" or adventurer tourer. Might be an interesting winter bike.
