Hi

I have rebuilt a Vmax from 1986 and everything works great now, except the start switch won't work.

All of the electrical are connected where it belongs except for the white oil level wire, I can't figure out where it's supposed to go. And I can't find my Haynes book either, so any help would be appreciated.

The oil level warning light turns on when i press the start switch, so I suspect this is the reason why the start switch won't work.

It’s routed down left side lower frame tube and is secured with the rubber clip where the p/u coil wires, stator, etc route to. You should see a single bullet connector near left side cover or battery.

Is the color white on that also? I can only find one single wire not connected to anything in that area, which is black with a red stripe

The sender wire is black on mine. The connector to harness is a black/red wire and runs to the diode block.
