Well the gf finally got me back to working on the rustang . We want all the v8 suspension and 289 in it before we move so I have been killing myself working on it. I had all the v8 suspension parts powder coated had to rebuild the 289 and In the mean time ticked off the Ford purist because I painted the engine body color instead of Ford blue.lol Oh well who wants to be normal

Are ya gonna use the Carrol Shelby trick of drilling two new holes for mounting the front suspension wishbones? Costs nothing and improves the handling.

Some good tips here on adding gusseting to the shock towers and other front end parts which aren't expensive to do once the engine is out.

I don't have time to be doing anything extra right now. I have already had to do a lot of extra I was not planning on & to much other stuff around here. We already had to move back our moving date a couple weeks .

Thanks ! I don't have time for a bunch of upgrades right now specially since I had to rebuild the motor which was not planned. It did get a small cam & aluminum intake (not pictured) & the headers & electronic distributer. I think that is all it is getting right now.

Had my intake powder coated and set some of my pulleys up there. It looks good

Wow, can't wait to see all the progress, 4:30-5:00 today. It's gotta be an Awesome Pony Car even if you don't particularly care for it. Christine's gonna have a blast driving and showing it off.

Well got the V8 spindals in with new ball joints , coil springs and brakes last week. I put the rearend in today. Hopefully tomorrow finish the rear brakes and pull the 6 out then take a break untill monday when I have some help. Also got a new carb for it.

Looks good Kyle. May be a PIA, but cars were sure much simpler then.

Yes they were simpler. I got the engine out today and done some cleaning and painting. I did not get super carried away with painting since this is just going to be a driver and not a show car.

Engine is in they sent me the wrong radiator so waiting on that. I still need to do the final valve adjustment but cant do it with out the radiator. I just stuck the valve covers on since we are on the way to Tennessee with it today. I will get all the nice wire seperators and stuff on it after I do the valves. Christine is happy

Lookin'-good, Kyle. Trailering it yourself?

Looks like maybe an Edelbrock dual-plane & a Edelbrock Quicksilver carb (the old Carter AFB), w/a Mallory electronic distributor? I dunno whose headers.

Yep its. On a dolly behind Christines xterra. We are leaving them both there and riding back with friends and then making our final trip before Thanksgiving. It is a holley contender intake and holley carb. The distributor is a mallory knock off and the headers are cheap stainless off ebay they had lots of good reviews and they fit nice. It should have a little bit better power than that 200 six

Well we were helped out a bit & the Stang got some GT wheels for Christmas. Found the set of 4 with like new BFG Radials on the rear for $ 130 bucks . I painted them today I put the rear on . I need to go get the front tires switched out tomorrow.
