Well I finally cleared out enough roomy to get this 85 home that I aquired up here. I think with a little elbow grease and some tinkering she will clean up really nice.

I wonder why the black side covers?

Wish mine was that low on mileage after all these years.

Are you keeping this on Kyle, or cleaning it up for sale?

Looks just like the canadian '87 i am working on right now- same color too.
13,000 kilometers and has been sitting for 10+ years.

Looks pretty good Kyle. Nice and original looking. I guess they must have scratched a side cover?

After about an hour and a half of tinkering. I am impressed the wheels look like new there is not one rock chip in the fork tubes. The diff and swingarm look almost perfect. I hate that they punched the baffle other than that and a big battery mod and the mirror stems and the few powder coated parts it's pretty much original down to the handle grips. The paint has a few nicks but for 30 years old over all looks good.

Well I bought it to clean up and sale. I am gonna have a hard time letting go of it though. I am going to strip the powder off the side covers and either leave them natural or have them done to match the scoops.
