Can someone tell me the best make and model plugs for doing the cops on a 1985.I prefer to do them myself.

Denso p/n 129700-4400 (1.5 Ohm Coils) with Stock NGK Plugs gapped at .026.
Denso 129700-4800 and 4580 work also but they are longer so they are a much tighter fit.
I'd stay away from the mitsubishi Coils, a lot of guys had problems with them

I bought 4 used sticks on Ebay a few years ago. They were Denso sticks. I bought a set of connectors from a Honda 600, cut the connectors off my existing coils, and soldered up 4 connector wires. I gave no thought to the polarity of the wires, as they are just connecting a coil, which probbly doesnt care what way the trigger current goes through it. I made these before anyone thought of adding resistors to the setup, and never did. Results? The bike started immediately, and has never missed a beat due to ignition issues. My bike is an '85, with high mileage. Total cost to do the conversion was about $25.00.
