You should see the substitute "campus security" guy we get when our normal (not really secure either) guy is gone...

We do have an armed police officer on our campus at all times, though.

I can just imagine! :rofl_200:

Nobody likes the thought of having to be protected by armed guards but like it or not that's the way of the world these days. We are not writing the rules anymore....we're reacting, and we better start doing it properly!

there was a comedian (think chris rock) said just make the bullets like super expensive hahah so if a round cost like 25bucks im pretty sure people wont just be getting them and spending it like candy.......sure would make you a better shot to get a moose to feed the family thou

Bo is going to use this " crisis " , ( " Never let a crisis go to waste " ) , to further one of his socialist / communist goals - Disarm the people .

Bo Care has so many hidden taxes and regulations , " We have to pass it to find out what's in it " , it ranks up there as one of the most expensive and freedom limiting pieces of socialist / communist legislation ever - Control the health care of the people .

Half the uneducated , dole riding voters will never know what the hell is going on except " free ice cream if you vote for me " .

Drunk drivers kill hundreds of innocent 'victims' each year. Why aren't people like that moron mayor Bloomberg out there spearheading a campaign for tighter car control laws? Maybe outlaw them altogether?

I think we should loosen gun laws to allow each and every American citizen, including teachers, principals, and even janitors, to decide for themselves whether or not to go get the proper training to be able to open or concealed carry a weapon to protect not only themselves, but also those around them. Do you think a little chickensh!t like this would have chosen a school in which he knew there would be armed people inside that might have shot back? I don't think so.

I see where my last post could be misinterpreted.:bang head: I meant, if you aren't actively using a firearm for protection or home defense, lock it up so any Joe Blow can't easily gain access to it.. Our stored weapons are quickly available to us should a War Break Out.:confused2: Never Know....

I carry 1-3 firearms at any given time. Wife normally carries one. All others that we have are very securely locked up. The weapons we have out stay with us 24/7 unless we are at a location not allowing firearms to be carried. Normally we don't even go there unless it's a government office or school.

Here's something I think is appropriately stated.
Also, I'm sending a copy this to our elected officials...

"A LITTLE GUN HISTORY" In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ----------------------------- Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million. ------------------------------ You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'. During WW II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! If you value your freedom, please spread this anti gun-control message to all of your friends. The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental. SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN! SWITZERLAND 'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! IT'S A NO BRAINER! DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET. I'm a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment!

Yeah, Bo got some real mileage out of that tear in the corner of his eye move....ey! Saw it a few times. :rofl_200:

I saw that. Talk about crocodile years. If he was an actor they'd give him a razzie for that one. The most insincere contrived display of emotion I've seen in a long time.

I wonder how many people bought it, without realizing that tear ducts are in the INSIDE corner of the eye, not the OUTSIDE. What a contriving ass!

Exactly what my thought was too! :rofl_200:

Must be someone told him it helps his image cause there was an MSN photo of him with the 'new sad face' and Biden in the background looking like the original Mr. Hard Ass....getting ready to go after those horrible gun owners and their WMD!! :jerk it:

I was just in Sandy Hook, Ct, in Oct. Laid to rest a relative. My nephew attended that same school. I believe Obama's tears were real. I know mine were. I still get choked up when I think about all those people/ little kids being murdered. I think about the parents waiting outside of the school for the kids to come out that never did. The presents under the tree that will never be opened. Did you guys see the picture of the cops in a circle hugging each other and crying? Sandy Hook is a small community, people knew each other. It is called a tragedy, even for the shooter. The pain that kid must have been in to do what he did.
I get pissed when I hear the dialogue being all about my second amendment rights. Guns are not the problem? Of course they are. The shooter wasn't packing a slingshot. Some weapons are banned and more should. For example people are not allowed to drive around with a fifty caliber machine gun mounted on the roof of their car.
What about the rights of people not to be killed? A person who keeps a gun for self defense is nine times more likely to be shot with that gun than ever using it for self defense. That's a fact. How do we as a society stop the attitude of violence? The character John Wayne is a fantasy. We need some serious thought because it is our kids and our familes we need to protect. Within the last few days two cops were shot and killed in Kansas by one guy. They were armed and trained. Didn't help them. Unstead of walking around in fear, always ready to pull your gun and start shooting, wouldn't it be better not to have a reason to be in fear?

Dave,

Those are great liberal and utopian thoughts, however we have a Bill Of Rights that protects our right to own a gun or guns, so guns will always be allowed and if they are attempted to be taken away it will only lead to a very bloody Civil War.

You see, Dave, guns are not just for hunting, or for protecting your family, but protecting us from a tyranical and dictatorial goverment, should it become that. (And I say it is fast moving in that direction).

Dave, are you aware that there is a thing called "Home Invasion" where bad people barge into your house, usually with knives or guns, rob, rape, kill and or maim,,,Hmmmmmm????,,did you know that,,,and if the bad people know that the good people have no guns, and the bad people do,,do you want to watch your wife and daughter, maybe mother, being raped and sodomized by these bad people because of your weakness and fear of owning a gun, hmmm, Dave, anyone?

Dave, did you read my post of the Texas State Troopers and the Rape, cavity search on You Tube, watch it and know that the offending raping officer has been suspended, WITH PAY, Ya,,that is what the powers that be think of it's citizens and their Constitutional rights millions fought and died for,(at least that is what they were lead to believe).

Yes, the police are good at taking reports after the horrific crimes, seldom there to stop it while or before it occurs.

Dave ,are you also offended by the killing of babies, even up to the 9th month, or even as Obama wanted even outside the womb if it survives the Abortion?? Do you support that Dave, because that is just as bad, maybe worse than the Newton killings,,,if you can kill in the Womb, than why not 6 or 7 years later,,,what really is the difference???

Senator Joe Manchin: "Committed gun owners like me can and must listen to reasonable ideas about preventing mass violence. But whatever steps we take must be comprehensive — and must bring the entertainment industry and mental health community to the table. We cannot snap our fingers, push one-track legislation that focuses exclusively on guns and pat ourselves on the back. Such an approach certainly won’t fare well in Congress. More important, it won’t fully address the problem."
We also must rethink how children are raised, no longer can our youth be farmed out to daycare's for the majority of their day and think a parent(s) can come home within a few hours each day and give them strong/ reinforced teaching of right and wrong overcoming the daycare goverment mandated teachings/ entertainment industries examples, and professional healthcare industry handing out pills to solve parenting issues. Since the 60's children have had shared parenting dictated by social pressures and a reality closely guided by our goverment.
Another looming problem is gangs. Here is a map from the FBI's website (within the report) of gang activity. I wonder if these citizens would turn in their weapons in a goverment recall of "assault weapons" or even their sling shots!:bang head:

Here is another map that we should all be aware of... see how it compares to the FBI map!:bang head::bang head:

Michigan, by and large thought of as a democrat stronghold, but if you look at how each county voted there is a different view of Michigan and their voters:

It would seem that the reasoning behind wanting to centralize populations so "open space" can be used more efficiently has the political left stain upon it!:bang head::bang head::bang head:

Despite the fact that this kid was suffering from some severe mental issues, he was also a coward (as evidenced by his committing suicide as soon as he heard sirens coming).

What would have prevented this particular tragedy would be an armed presence in that school. I don't think teachers should be armed....they're educators, not weapons & protection experts....but I have no problem whatsoever with armed security personnel patroling the corridors.

And I'm talking serious, well trained professionals not overweight, dull normal fucks hired by the lowest bidder to 'flesh' out a contract!

WTF...we guard our money with armed personnel.....why not our children? :ummm:

Of course it's easy to Wednesday morning quarterback it but if you want a quick fix to these random acts of violence....that would be a good start. It would also free up some time to get long term educational programs in gun handling & storing going.
I think a program similar to the "air marshalls" would work for the schools. Have 1 employee from each school building volunteer to be the conceal carry person. This armed employee would have to go through extensive anti-terrorist and combat training, and remain anonymous to everyone except the superintendent of each school district. It might make the unprotected schools less of a target when the bad guys know there's gonna be someone shooting back....
