When I posted a pic of my VMax it came out as a thumbnail, but I noticed that other posts have the actual picture imbedded. How does one do that?

I'd prefer to have the thumb nails, takes up less space. Makes for a cleaner post. If I choose to want to see someone's pic, I just click on it and it becomes full size anyhow. However, if you want the full size pic in your post, you have to have the pic hosted somewhere (tinypic.com, photobucket.com etc...). You copy the url of your pic and then hit the image button right above the box where you have been entering your text for your posts. A window will open with a prompt for you to enter your url to your pic. If you are un-sure which button is the image button, it's the one with some color in the little box. Just hold your mouse over each one slowly and a description will pop up. That's it. If you need addy's for the free pic hosting, just ask.

Whats the general census here of dial-up users?

I have my own web hosting and I think nothing of posting pics in the 640x480 range as I've been on high end broadband for many years.

However, if there is a massive ammount of folks here that are on dial-up, I'll gladly post thumbs and make them links to larger pics to help out.

[joke]
On the flip side though, what the hell is with you ppl? Unless you live in an area where high-speed isn't available or your addicted to netzero, dial-up is just about the same price (and in some cases more exspensive) then DSL. Get with the now internet users of the world.
[/joke]

Just so you know, the above is in a very joking mannor. I totally understand that some folks don't want the extra cost, don't use the net enough to warrent the extra cost or it just plain isn't available. I just like to have a little fun from time to time. Please take no offence.

Yeah... The problem with using full size pics and not hosting them is they use a TON of bandwith and also slow down the threads download. It makes it nearly impossible for a dialup user to see a thread. It may take 5 minutes to download them in some cases...

If you are looking to make a pic smaller before posting (please) then use PAINT on your PC or you can download a free software like Irfanview Pack

Test upload

Works for me! Try a reboot if your OS is Winblows.
