85 float bowl gasket parts source?

Hello everyone, I haven't rebuilt the carbs on my 85 for ... I'm guessing 8 years. Bike has been so good to me I haven't had to do much of anything. However, it's now showing signs of fuel varnish as I haven't been able to ride it enough. Rather than the shotgun fix, I figured I'd tear...

    The Super Bowl

What a great game! It's good to watch a great Super bowl since there have been too many yawners over the years. Bowl vents

a really great guy sent me some advice on checking for blockages. He said that if running the bike and plugging the bowl vent tubes, a clean carb should see gas shoot out of the main air bleed. Well i believe that would indicate pressure from the bowl vent tubes. when I plug them up, not...

    Float bowl orifices

While cleaning Neil's carbs I decided to use a small piece of copper wire strand to map out where each float bowl orifice went to. Thanks to Mike Costa for the idea. Using the wire also helps unplug those tiny holes...especially the bypass outlets just above the throttle valve. Mark #1098
