    higher revs = lower volts?

    Soldered the crimp because I was at 12.3 volts at idle and not much better at 2500 rpm. After the fix, I am getting mid 13s at idle. Goes up to 14.6 at around 2200, then starts dropping steadily back to about 13v at 5k rpms. Is this right? The bike has a finned black rr, but it is a 4 wire shunt...

    I put a rectifier from a zxio Kawasaki last year and it has been great but ,today I noticed I had low vots (12.3) so I did a little fishing around checked the output at the rectifier and its 15.volts but I am getting 12.3 at the battery when running and 11.5 when I disconnect the rectifier...

    Overcharging problem @ 23 volts

    Gained some volts

    By just switching to heavy duty lug type end connectors on the R/R pos and neg wires and soldering them on.

    Charging volts

    My battery maintainer puts out about 13volts and my battery s putting out about 12.8 after a charge .Is that the right amount without cooking the battery and keeping it at its peak?.

    Yep that is what my aftermarket R/R was putting out.:confused2: No wonder I was having electrical problems. Good thing I never throw anything away. Put the old one back on and presto 14 volts. :eusa_dance: Yeah Cheers
