Are 13" dyna rear shocks compatible with VMax

I found an aftermarket set of shocks like those, 13" eye-to-eye O.C., for a H-D, but I've never mounted them. You can buy sleeves to match the Yamaha mounting bolts. Just measure them to see what sizes you need.

From the box they come with all the sleeves if not i can turn some, reason why they sound interchanglable to me



I used to get get my ohlins tailor fitted by Stig pettersen ir even better $15.000dollar fork loaners from my friend Doug that convince the honda afm team > [Showa] to run top shelf ohlins with the tecnical support in house

I am very curious about rear shocks too:
OEM - mini pogo's and not suited for a heavy guy
Progressive 440's - harsh...and started leaking (which was actually more comfortable) and had them rebuilt under warranty and went back to harsh
Springworks - meh ride...then went out of business
Ohlins - cant find except the Easteren Hemisphere and the price is closer to Mars

PLEASSSE let me know what shocks can fit a Gen1 Vmax and carry a 275lb guy...without having the feeling like you're riding in the bed of a pickup.
I can fab mount sleeves as well...just need to ensure that alignment, rating and reasonable comfort are achievable

No clue of the other shocks but Stig still in businesss with ohlins and he is the man..

But to be honest this pigs have so much Sprung weight on the swingarm a super dupper fancy shock makes very little diference when the coils are doing all the work..

Alibabba ohlins are garbage..

If anything the stock oem dina shocks semi work okay and they are cheap since they are so many collecting dust

You need to contact them, as the way the site is set-up, the price appears to be for one shock-absorber so the price is double what is shown for a particular shock. They do offer a 2 year warranty. Listed at $255 which seems to be an 'apiece' price so a pair is $510. Tell me if I'm wrong if you check, and find otherwise.

If you use the 'check fitment' tool, it says these Ohlins do-not fit a Gen. I, I dunno why, it appears the length is OEM, and there are several sleeves to ensure fitment for different dia; fasteners. It might be worth a try to see if they work.
