Aloha everyone, my name's Adam and I live in Kauai. Been riding 25 yrs and very bike crazy. I own 7 other bikes (Ninja 400, Duke 790, FZ07, CBR600, CBR1000 (drag), Valkyrie (supercharged), Shadow 750). Always wanted a VMAX and just purchased a very nice one. Its a 1997, custom paint, 30k miles, keihin racing carbs, UFO intake, stainless exhaust, steering dampener, super clean condition. I want to use it primarily for quarter mile drag racing. I took it to the track last weekend and ran 12.3 and 12.2. Missed a shift into 4th and clutch was slipping a bit. I'm looking at improving it to run mid 11s. Very excited about this bike. Nice to meet you all. Reach out if you ever come to Kauai.🤙

Great looking bike! Was just there at Kauai 3 months ago for holiday. You live in an amazing place!

Lots of ideas here on the forum on how to improve your track time and there are always people that are willing to give you some advice. Welcome here at the forum!

Hi Adam welcome! I got my first V-Max on Maui in 1992 it was a 1985 with a Hindle 4/1 exhaust and stage 7 jet kit. I started drag racing it. I typically ran in the 11.90 bracket but I was able to run a few 10.90’s
Good luck🤙🏼

Was there several years ago. Didn't realize they had a space big enough to even have a dragstrip lol.
