Shifter bracket top bolt

The top bolt on my shifter bracket stripped the threads for it. Has any one ran into this problem and how did you go about tapping new threads? Heli coil way or tap for larger thread? Does the case have enough meat to drill bigger? Bought the bike last year and this is how it came just kicking around ideas to fix it.

Have you checked to see if you can use a longer bolt first? You should be able to use a helicoil to repair it.

man this my old bike, can you send me pics, I was trying to find the bike for 2 years. They guy, When I found him he would not send pictures. But was willing to sale it back to me. But I told me send me picks all they around. This bike was crazy fast.... 2nd gear wheel off the ground. There's a copper tube in the exhaust... I did a lot of stuff to the bike. Some bought from Morley as well.

Very cool!!! It looks much cleaner in your pics. It was filthy when i got it. Last guy didnt take care of it , but I am slowly bringing her back. He must of messed with the carbs too because it wasn't too fast when I got it. I have that all worked out now and its running strong now. I had to ditch the cobra jet kit with stage one needles.

The jet kit I use came from a guy kenny something just don't remember his name. I had the hole motor apart. pull out the baffle your going to love this...
