Hi! Sorry for late reply, haven't logged in some time...my bad. No these pictures are from Belgium, neighbor to the Netherlands. It is a war monument in Diksmuide, I think it spells Dixmude in English, to commemorate the countless fallen in the trenches during WWI in that region (maybe Ypres rings a bell? the Last Post?). The 100 year "anniversary" of WW1 brings about a lot of memorial ceremonies, so I thought it would be fitting. In fact my birthday is on Armistice Day, nov 11, so I was kind of hoping they would use the pic for the November page.
