Name is Dan Gamber. I live in North East Ohio in a city called Painesville. We are located 23 Miles East of Cleveland. I have been in motorsports my entire life! Starting riding as a passenger at about age 2, riding Atv's with my Dad. He had a Honda Odyssey 250. I then got my own Atv when I was 6 years old. It was a Yamaha Tri Zinger 60cc. My Mom was not too happy. Concerned for my safety of course! The same thing is going on with my wife and my 7 year old. I am an auto Technician by trade and life habits. My family owns and operates a 23 bay Firestone Service Center in Mentor, OH. Heisley Tire and Brake Inc. We have been in business since 1991. I have owned many bikes and toys over my life. I was into 5.0 Mustangs (fox body era.) With building and drag racing them. Also had some 100% factory ones with low miles for collecting. (eventually sold to put in other investments) I owned a 05 Harley Ultra that I rode all over the US and in to Canada too. Very fun bike and comfortable to ride. When my son was born I sold my Harley's ( I had a 04 Springer too) and put the money in more investments. A few years ago a 85 Vmax came up for sale on Craigslist near me. It has been sitting for about 15 years. So I took up the project to bring her back to life. It was a bigger project then I thought, but a fun one. It needed nearly everything! The parts are still available and I was able to do all the work myself, with the help of one friend since kindergarten. He owns a bike shop and has some specialty tools needed for the bike stuff. After rebuilding the bike I was definitely hooked on the Vmax and wanted a Gen 2. It took about 2 years to find one. I now own an 1985 and a 2010 Vmax. I have just purchased a new Gurued ECM with the reprograming and the Akrapovic Mid pipe w/ a K&N air filter. Can't wait to get that installed.
