Oil filter selection is very limited where I live. So far I can get the Yamaha OEM for $18.00 a piece (2.5" long filter) which is a bit pricey and is the short length filter. Found the FRAM PH7317 for $2.24 a piece, but I read somewhere here that they are not so good. Found a Baldwin B1402...

Do I need to replace the oil filter also or can I just leave it draining for a while and re-install it after draining all the bad oil ?

If I understand correctly, from the service manual diagram the actual push and pull throttle cables consist of 4 pieces? Is this why DAVIDON states that Barnett sells direct throttle cables to carb ?

Yesterday, I replaced the filter, engine oil and gear oil. Had a new OEM crush washer for the engine plug but not for the gear oil plug (paid about $2.75 at the Yamaha Dealer...ouch !!!). Afterwards, a bit of a leak at the gear drain plug. Tightened a bit more and it seems to have stop...

The clutch master was sold without the micro switch and the right side brake master switch looks in a kinda awkward location, although the wire terminals could fit. I could just buy the Kawa OEM micro switch for the clutch master, but it would also still look in an awkward location...

Today I noticed that my rotors were not one piece parts but rather divided into three parts. I added a picture of a rotor found in Ebay. Initially, I thought that my rear rotor was cracked but then I noticed in Ebay that most or probably all OEM are like that. Why? Any comments?
