    +1 on the compression test. Sounds like sticky rings. Try letting a few cc's of Seafoam soak directly in each cylinder.

    For piece of mind I installed a Dyna 3000 ignition only for the rev limiter. One less thing to worry about when things get blurry!

    Short term, wire in a temporary toggle or push buttom switch in place of the screw driver. At least you won't have to take the seat off to start it.

    It took me 44 yrs to finally get my own garage:eusa_dance: I rebuilt my previous bike in an unheated barn through the winter... nothing like frozen tools. Enjoy it when you get it!

    One thing not to over look is the neighbours. Nothing worse than finding the right home but with a bunch of a-holes beside or behind you. Also the neighbours may have some insightful info regarding the house.

    Cracked coils

    As the coil ages the molded plastic cover dries out and becomes brittle then when the coil expands from heat the plastic cracks. No biggie, seal as noted.
