Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. eBay said it was a 1993 swingarm and my bike is a 92. The actual shaft that the rear shock slides onto is the same size so shouldn’t be an issue, just thought it was weird that the size for the nut was different.

just seeing if anyone else had noticed on their bike if the rear shock lower mount acorn nuts are different sizes? I bought a used swingarm on eBay to replace my bent stock one and noticed that the acorn nut is way too big now. It looks like stock size is an M10 nut but the new one is an M8.

Found another chart from my cyclepedia manual that shows the standard clearance in the chart between .26-.30mm(pic attached). Based on these 2 different charts, the Yamaha service manual would have me buy 265 shim to get in spec and the cyclepedia chart would have me buy a 255 shim to get in...
