80% of the key touches the oil pump gear. Only about 1/8" of the key stick out beyond it to locate the pinion gear. They sure got their priorities right! :rofl_200:

Then on the way home it got pretty hot (100F+ day here) and as I got near home it started playing up, I think there was a similar thread some time ago and it was related to the famous "crimp fix," some crimp connections that loosen up when hot, and should be soldered instead?

Just my 2c I don`t think it`s a good idea to firmly attach a very heavy, vibrating motor to a not-very-well designed weak cradle like frame It`s attached flexibly for a reason But it scares the sh*t out of you feeling the motor go one way and the frame another So stiffening the frame=frame...

Nice! Anyone else has a special "lucky charm" ??
