Back on the road,,, Hitting it and draining the float chambers seems to have worked. Need to take carbs off and give good clean etc but need to order new inlet rubber tubes and some carb gaskets before I start ripping things to pieces lol. Thanks for the hekp as always, you guys rock

Ok when the bike is running I have gas coming out of the two left hand breather tubes that screw to the top of the air filter. Bearing in mind its not running well Im assuming that this isnt normal. Any suggestions guys?

So first thing to try is smacking the float bowls with a hammer in case one is stuck ,,, old school style lmao

Its raining now so will try the shotgun on monday/tuesday as well as testing the cps for fire. As Ive had the bike 5 years/40 k miles and never done the jets its probably about time, from what Im reading lol Thanks for your help

My mistake,, an aluminium one might be a good idea but the oem plastic would work for now and damnit missed the one on ebay but thanks for the link blaxmax

The aluminum mounting bracket that holds the reflector under the grab rail is needed. Have the reflector, just the bracket if anyone has one around

Just an fyi. I drilled out the boss and covered hole with exhaust paste, sprite can and hose clamps. Not pretty but worked lol

I have a set of supertrapp slip on mufflers to fit to a 96 max. One of them appears to have a boss for a sensor in the part of the pipe that slips on. Is there a slot on the oe pipe to take this? Asking this before I take the oe pipes off as they are a pain to get back on lol. Thanks for your help
