    Change conversion on second gen?

You do have to pull the motor and split the cases. I do all the chain drive conversions at my shop but if anyone was confident to re assemble their motor I would just need the cases to do the machine work then mail them back with new components. The conversion comes with everything you need, You...

    Change conversion on second gen?

I am the originator of the chain conversion for the Yamaha Gen 1 and Gen 2 Vmax since 1985 and 2009. It makes your bike a hundred pounds lighter 2 inches lower no comparison in handling and mind boggling acceleration. Compared to a shaft driven V-max its like he shut his key off. You would be...

    Handling upgrades / frame stiffeners

The frame brace doesn't really do anything the motor is one solid mass bolted in six positions in the frame. If you want to improve handling getting a set of 17 inch wheels is the way to go. You'll notice improved handling and have a better selection of tires. other than that a dampener is a...

    Vw carbs

I did that back in the late 80s I wouldn't waste your time it will make your bike slower. If you wanted to do it to be unique thats different it looks cool but kills the horsepower

    Kickstand options

If anyone is still looking to get a shorter kickstand I wouldn't suggest bending the kickstand. All you have to do is take the kickstand off the bike cut it at the bottom you can cut off an inch or so whatever you want it to be when your done and heliarc it back together its a really simple...

    Pending Magnacharger install - tips?

That is possible to do what you said it would be a few days of work and you would have to weld the bolt holes on the short side perfect so that it doesn't create a vacuum leak. Then machine the top of the intake making the hole big enough that you could center the supercharger on there. The only...

    Connecting Rod Failures

Hi David I have taken apart more V-max motors than anybody. I've disassembled those motors with over 100,000 on them and the rods and bearings are still good. The stock connecting rods are good, strong, and light weight. I use them in some my naturally aspirated 8 second motorcycles. I have a...

    Help: Wrong Venture differential?

They're a piece of cake to rebuild but get on ebay they're just about giving them away. Just be careful to take a good look at the pictures but if you get burnt you can return it with no grief. That way you don't have to deal with any leaches trying to rip you off.

17 inch wheel for the generation 2

These are a few pictures of designs we do. We've done dozens of designs but I would say the tuning fork is the most popular. Pending Magnacharger install - tips?

Hi Terry I noticed your post and I wanted to save you a little bit of chasing your tail. That cast intake was made by Bill Bushling a good friend of mine going back to 1985. He was a dear friend of mine and I would never insult him or his work but the casting company that designed the intake you...
