Fuel sender o-ring and drain bolt washer

I found a fuel leak, and after cleaning things up tracked it down to the fuel level sensor. Interestingly, it's something the Haynes manual includes checking for every 4000 miles. Tried tweaking the screws tighter, which slowed the leak a little (already very slow) but a little paranoid about...

Was planning on immediately but will now be end of the month (post payday). I have to get her through the MOT test tomorrow. Would be nice to be the owner of a road-legal vmax! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

    Bike names

I've named most if my bikes, but was at a bit of a loss to know what to call my V-Max and in the end decided to let my 6 year old son name her. He chose Marlene, after the otter in The Penguins of Madagascar (a spin-off show from the Madagascar movies). It's growing on me. She's kind of mild...

    Thought I'd post a pic.

Looks good. I like the idea of the plasti dip for testing ideas. I didn't know it just peels off. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Thanks for posting those pics, useful as I need to do similar and was wondering how much of the engine could be painted in situ. Did you use a brush, rattle can or compressor? Got any pics of what you masked off? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

Great shot of you and your kid. Proud Daddy (I assume ;-) )

Are you a new member? Come here and say hi!

He had originally talked about drilling it out, machining a piece of aluminium to fit the whole and TIG-welding the plug in, then drilling and tapping the plug. I don't actually know what he did, exactly as I was laid up flat on my back at the time. We're also learning together as we go...

Are you a new member? Come here and say hi!

I've been lurking here for a few months since I bought my '91 Canadian full power import from a friend. Today is the first time I've really felt she was mine as she's on my drive, running. My buddy had new front pipes to replace the rusted ones on the bike (damned British climate) and that's...

    Replacement drain cock assembly

No, the plug itself. The plastic bit seems to be missing. Anyway, looks like the price of a new one isn't /too/ painful, compared to a shabby looking used one on ebay, so I'll do that. I guess small parts like this will tend to be better to get OEM. Rust in the UK is such a problem it would be...

    Replacement drain cock assembly

It's not the plug, it's the ends of the metal tube that are corroded, preventing a good seal with the connecting tubes.
