Lots of good info here, saved it for use on Redbone or my Super Tenere which has a very similar looking shaft drive.

I moved Redbone to a little larger workspace, mostly to make space for a new to me two wheeled tourer.

The nearest HF is 1.5 hours away in troll land, but I travel to see family several times a year and will be doing so in a couple weeks. Going to GR and possibly to mid Indiana to look at a Super Tenere, planning some much anticipated long trips in the future.

I'm still here, but been super busy with work and other things for the last 2/3 months. Things are a little slower at work now but still have some catch up to do, I guess it's job security or so they say!

I've had my engine out 2-3 times each time using the same method as Mike explained above. Balancing it on a short piece of wood allows you to turn/ tilt/ wiggle the engine into place.

Umm, interesting but maybe a just a little off with all the little toys attached and then there's that plastic pony off the back end...

It sounds like your carb chains must have been loose to bend the float levels, keep them well adjusted! I'm guessing they won't be much help with the motor mounts though.
