    Didn't make the list

Not that I'm biased or anything, I'm surprised that the Vmax didn't make the list. http://www.motorcycle.com/how-to/top-ten-best-sounding-motorcycle-engines-91156.html .

    3 most important gauges

Tachometer, water temp, speedo would be my top three. My nitrous gauge and airshifter are on their respective bottles, simple to see whats in there when I twist the valve. After 30 years with nitrous, I'm gotten pretty proficient with tuning a nitrous motor, so no a/f meter for me. I have a...

    Gen 2 .....Short Interesting Read

Good article. I'm still trying to find what exactly they did to de-tune the original 300hp engine. I think that secret has been buried under one of the pyramids for safe keeping. Being a production bike, I always thought it would be pretty cool to see Yamaha toss it into the pro stock bike...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

He made a pretty good offer then upped it to $6500. I laughed it off as a joke, But his wife said he was serious. It was tempting. I know if I were to sell it, I'd only go back into debt buying another motorcycle and I don't need any payments. So needless to say, my ride is still 100% mine and...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Didn't do much to it, but I did have a friend come over wanting to buy it.

I need a favour from all you guy's

I couldn't vote. Clicking on the link only starts to load the Jager Calendar page, then goes back to my page.

New Skin for an old Dodge....

Looks great! You'll love the stroker motor :punk: But it will love the gas even more. I get about 8-10 around town and 16-18 on the highway. On my '83, I used a kit from Campbell, An edelbrock cam, Headman headers with dual cats and mufflers that exit on the sides of the truck, and topped it...

    Mirrors

I ran a set of eBay, inexpensive, bar ends for a few years. Then I switched over to this one.

    vmax coil questions

I'm wondering how these sticks would work. :hmmm: Here is the article: http://www.superstreetbike.com/howtos/1203_sbkp_2011_honda_cbr1000rr/

    vmax coil questions

Not all hp is gained on the top. Mid range is the most common. Here is some coil testing (not dyna) done from a cat in Nz CBR 1000 HP : Before coils : 174.97 after 179.87 (+5 hp) TQ : Before coils : 110.14 after 112.43 (+2 rwtrq) Power increase all through the rev range, +3 to 4 hp through...

    vmax coil questions

I doubt you would see 5hp on the track. 5 hp out of an ignition system isn't to hard to get if your tuneup/spark plug gap/coils are all set up right. Somewhere here there is some posts by others who have them and are reporting the same results.

    vmax coil questions

That's not entirely right. Not much of a gain (if any) if your still going to use the stock ignition box. But, several dyno sheets are showing 5+ hp gain with the Dyna 3000 ignition and their mini coils. I doubted the claim when I talked to the guy on the phone, but all be damned, he was...

My next project.... I am just thinking....

A friend of mine has the 427 in his cobra. Its about as evil as it gets. 500 rwhp and not much over 1800lbs, its a handful to say the least.

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

I got a little sidetracked, here is the full bike picture. I took the liberty of removing the gas station and cleaning up the pavement a little.

    Bull Exhausts

It shouldn't, its just a link to a few pages back of this thread and the pt numbers are just a cut and paste from the company's .pdf catalog.

    Bull Exhausts

As far as slip-on's go, I'd say yes if you can find a beat up pair to steal from. Unless you have the ability and equipment handy to do the fabbing yourself. 4-2-1 pipes are simple to install the muffler as well as 4-2 pipes. They have a right an left side muffler that could be adapted to a...

    Bull Exhausts

You can adapt pretty much anything to work. If you want to sacrifice your stock pipes, you can cut the mufflers just after the 2-1 joint on each side, then get a couple of adapters from your local auto parts store. Or if your handy at fabrication you can make your own adapters. Then it would...

    alternative revcounters

Take a peek at this thread, maybe you'll find something you like. I'm using a Koso knockoff I picked up for around $50 off of eBay. So far, no complaints at all. Plus it's really nice to have a fuel gauge to go along with the low fuel light.
