    1986 VMAX for sale

That looks like a Kerker to me. I dunno, I'm talking with my son Jesse and he may want it to just get right and resell (unless of course I talk him into giving ok dad a daily rider to keep my Custom even more special) lol, but, seriously, if it runs and no second gear issues I think it would be...

    Amazing paint discovered

I've seen this technology and it's actually quite real. How it works is they put the surface coat on then by putting an electrical current to it it changes the color. It's still in the development stages but it is real. As for cost, they did say that it wouldn't be really expensive but it's more...

    Cut a break

Lol, I guess there's a lot of possible reasons and honestly I kinda thought like Danny said cause at first he only had his parking lights on then as I kept saying **** over and over about 10 times I did see headlights on but he never hit the red and blues. Then maybe when he saw and heard I let...

    Cut a break

Last night I took the Max out for a ride and it's running better than ever. So anyway, I was on my way home when after stopping for a light there was a nice usually safe place to give it a little juice. So I started out kinda easy, then I figured it was a good chance to blow out the cobwebs. I...

    Pittsburgh Ride

Was talking with Bill K and we thought we should do another Pgh ride since we have so many nice available winding roads and had such a great time a couple years back we thought we should try at least to make it an annual thing. Anybody that's interested just post so we know how to plan it. We...

    87 octane vs. 93 octane

Speaking of octane, what's anybody's experience with higher octane running Vgas carbs? I'm curious to hear what octane other Vgas guys are running.

2014 Thunder in the Valley - PA

Had a great day at Thunder! I met up with Bill K and went straight to Johnstown and rode in the Parade then got off and people watched. That was interesting! Had awesome weather all day. Then rode down to the Days Inn and met up with some great guys! Dennis, glad you made it buddy, wheelchair...

2014 Thunder in the Valley - PA

Pete, I had that same problem last year. It died a couple times and had to bump start it but I put about 300 miles on that day. Im gonna guess and say it's your stator. Mine was bad for quite a while( not completely junk) but I found the issue, one of the 3 wires got pinched coming out of the...

Yamaha VMax vs Honda V-65 vs Suzuki Madura....

I had a 84 V65 Magna and to be honest, it was the smoothest, most comfortable, highest tech bike I ever had and I do miss the LCD Display gear indicator and 6th Gear!!!! It was a great bike and I'll get another someday but the Vmax is just more brute hotrod all around than any of the above...

20 Tank Review on Madmax 300,3"Over

Gent, I'm really glad we have become friends and it's nice to have someone who appreciates the big tire setup as much as I do. It's not an easy simple project to have one of these setups but once it's dialed in there's nothing quite like that feeling of the grip that you have when you twist the...

    Custom rear swingarms...

The biggest issue I had with mine was the gears were welded instead of all one piece. I really gotta say Paul is a first rate Machinest. He did incredible work making the hubs to make the PM wheels fit a Vmax that were intended for a Vrod. And I still would definetly choose gears to ujoints any...

    Custom rear swingarms...

Hey Garret, sorry about the rant. But when I saw that I was caught off guard and I took it like he meant how it is now. He told me before he didn't like my setup cause "it was too clunky" Cause if anyone just read that without knowing all the time and issues I had and that I had it finally done...

    Custom rear swingarms...

Yea, it WAS a bad design by Paul but now it's way stronger than anything I've seen that you made Fred. Steve owns a gear mfg company and I have a lot more faith in a one piece gear with a HD triplex chain. Oh yea, did I mention that he also made it so I can switch the position of the gears and...

That sounds right cause mine after the Vgas carbs and Kerker was installed dyno'd 131hp as well. Yea, those carbs really give you that hold the f%#k on kinda feeling.

:punk::punk:I was at UFO talking to Jon years ago and I ask him about my open stacks and he told me he was running them that way for over 10 years and never had issues. I have the same exact setup and I only had to blow out the carbs a couple times from debris but it took about 5 seconds to do...
