There are reproductions to the originals that DO have the Yamaha stamped in them. They are lighter weight and not quite as well made as the originals but look mostly the same.

Power is the same. I can't remember off hand what if anything you need to bother removing.

Likely need to check the AC output voltage of the 3 wires from the stator. Then the regulator may be the main issue if the AC voltage is in spec.

By the way. 2.1V per cell is standard. A 12V battery is 6 cells so a fully charged battery is 12.60 and anything over that is what we would call a surface charge. No need to put it on a charger. Install and ride.

I think Eric tested clear up to .040" if I recall. The ignitech really allowed it to go bigger gaps.

It is excessively thick on those EBC's and if there is a local shop with a surface grinder they can get them back flat. But, the pads will seat into the groves and be ok if you leave it as is.

Typically first production starts in July of the previous named year. So 07/84 would be a 1985 Vehicle. Always weird they did it that way. You should start seeing 2025 models hitting the dealers floors in the next couple of Months.
